Apply Now for Our Holiday Art Market!
We are now accepting submissions for The Studio Collective's Holiday Art Market! This online group exhibition opens Tuesday, November 12th and runs through Tuesday, December 3rd at studiocollectivegallery.com. The show will feature small, giftable artwork and hand-painted ornaments.
Application period closes Monday, September 30th at 11:59pm ET.
ABOUT THE GALLERY
The Studio Collective is an online collection of fine art by female artists, curated for the style-savvy collector. The gallery was founded by North Carolina artist Michelle Kobryn. A lifelong art lover, Michelle graduated from the George Washington University with a bachelors in art history and fine art, and masters in museum studies, collections management and object conservation. As a working artist with years of experience in the art world, she is passionate about providing artists with a venue to cultivate creativity and reach new audiences.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The focus of this exhibition is small works and ornaments that are perfect for holiday gift-giving. Submissions must be original two-dimensional artwork and/or hand-painted ornaments in any medium. Artwork must be 8x10” or smaller (dimensions before framing), must be framed or have the edges painted, and be ready to hang or display with hanging wire, D-rings, or sawtooth. Ornaments must be original, hand-painted and ready to hang.
Submissions will remain on consignment in our online gallery until sold and may not be listed for sale elsewhere by the artist or at any other gallery, retailer, or website.
Applicants are invited to submit 1-4 paintings and/or 1-4 ornaments for consideration. If submitting 2+ entries, we ask that they have a unified look or theme, as collections are especially attractive to shoppers.
Space is limited for this exhibition. Artwork that reflect current trends in interior design and decorative arts will receive special consideration. Preferred styles include but are not limited to expressive abstracts in soft tones or vibrant palettes, floral compositions, coastal landscapes or themes, abstract landscapes, abstract figurative paintings, and chinoiserie-inspired artwork. Favorable candidates have produced collections with a unified theme. All entries will be considered, but priority will be given to artwork that falls within the above parameters.
The gallery will post and promote exhibition pieces on our website, social media accounts, and to our mailing list. Accepted artists are invited to tag @the.studio.collective on Instagram so we can repost photos and videos. Photos and descriptions of artwork for website listings are due no later than Tuesday, November 5th.
Because this is an online show, artists will be responsible for the timely and secure shipment of pieces directly to collectors, and artwork will remain in your care until notified by the gallery of receipt of payment from the buyer. Upon shipment, tracking information must be provided to the gallery.
For our holiday art market, we are offering participating artists a special limited-time gallery commission rate of 75% artist / 25% gallery.
A gallery contract will be signed at time of acceptance into the show. For more information please contact hello@studiocollectivegallery.com.
