Lauren Phillips is a wife, mother of three, and a former teacher turned self-taught artist. A South Carolina native, she grew up in Rock Hill and graduated from Clemson University before settling in Charlotte, NC with her family and their English Golden Retriever, Lucy.  

After a 20-year career in education, Lauren resigned to support her children in 2020 during virtual learning. This life change eventually led her to discover her passion for acrylic painting.

Lauren loves expressive landscapes and seascapes with sweeping skies, though her first love is painting flowers.  She’s captivated by the way flowers can be both bold and soft, wild and arranged, and yet always evoke beauty.  Her love of color, expressive brush strokes, and capturing the energy and essence of nature is what brings her back to the easel everyday.
