Liesel Anne is a self-taught artist based out of Lawrence, Kansas. As the founder, artist and designer of her art and online gift boutique, Liesel Anne Studios, she uses primarily gouache on paper and paints with a whimsical and joyful style. 

Liesel grew up in Lawrence and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in health care. All throughout college, she had a hobby of designing things and hand-making gifts, thank you cards, and more. After graduation and a few years into the “real world” (and a stint of 8 years on the East Coast in Richmond, Virginia) she took the leap and is now able to fully focus on her art and wonderful clients and customers. What began as a hobby turned into a life-changing passion. 

Now with a small team of women, Liesel still hand-paints and designs everything herself and together they are able to package and ship art, paper goods & gifts all over the country. She finds her inspiration from interior design, nature and fashion. With a colorful and preppy style, Liesel hopes that her art and products can continue to bring people as much joy as it brings her to make them!

When she is not painting or designing, Liesel can be found spending time with her husband and daughter, cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks football and basketball teams, singing in her Church’s worship team or planning the next set of gifts and parties for friends and family. She is very grateful for all the little joys that make life so special.
